Does anybody want a fantastic *but slightly broken* 88-key MIDI piano? FREE to a good home if they can collect from f'hain. (it is big & heavy.)
It's a Doepfer LMK4+. Was toured by 65daysofstatic, hence its slightly battered condition.

I don't wanna over/undersell this. It IS a great bit of kit BUT only is in average condition.
It would suit either a tinkerer who can open it up and give it some attention or a musician on a budget who needs some quality midi keys.
Again though - gotta be able to collect.
(And also I might have to keep that VIP AAA pass from an old Halsey show that is stuck on it for some reason).

Here are the problems:
- Highest 2 octaves don't work, so really this is a 61-key keyboard
- Keyboard a bit squeaky, this could maybe be fixed with some WD40 if you're brave enough to open it up.
- There's a rare problem with it freezes during power-on, but unplugging-replugging sorts it
- Pitch wheel can be a bit inconsistent (but it's not enabled by default)Gimme a shout if this hunk of metal I have been carrying around for the last thirteen years is of interest to you!

@polinski Hello! Your post was shared in the group for a little DIY festival I'm part of in the UK, and I would be very interested in this if it's still avaliable. We've had a song written for almost a year now which we're unable to record because the most keys we've got on a bit of gear is 37. And would just generally open up lots of possibilities for my musical partner who grew up playing a proper piano but is currently restricted to little midi keyboards

@judeschtu hiya. yeah, it’s still available. did you see the whole thread i posted about the issues it has? it is still usable, but i wanna be clear about the state it is in.
@polinski Yeah that's fine! Even without the top 2 octaves still substantially bigger than what we've got, and the keybed sounds like a dream for someone used to actual piano. I'm new to mastodon and can't figure out how to message you privately though, not sure how to go about arranging to come get it! Thank you so much
