also, what do you define as "ai"? pathfinding algorithms for example are classified as a type of ai.

Was hoping to try before I buy and there is a free plan, but I can't figure out to select it. It feel intentionally unelectable.

FOSS lover 100%, this is constructive criticism from a guy forced into an evilcorp stack at work: FOSS has nothing that can compete with Google and MS yet. I've tried but they're fragmented, non-integrated.I process hundreds of emails a day and can do a ton of efficient powerful things from a single interface to manage/edits files, meetings, contacts, tasks and more.
The FOSS alternatives: frankly primitive in comparison. Lets catch up!!

@Tutanota OK, I understand that we need to switch from Big Tech (already done so), but please Can You start focusing more on improving the UI of the Tuta apps on Desktop & Mobile?
Some suggestions: Bring Material You support, more elegant/modern icons, more theming options etc.
Would be greatly appreciated and much more appealing to other people too.

@thejessiekirk agree but they're not saying "please use LLMs" either. I think we gotta read the room and admit humans sadly reach for unhealthy things. if we know the kids are smoking shouldn't they at least be told the least toxic brand. mistral I think is the only EU made mode that can run locally on your own computer

@thejessiekirk You're right. That's also why we do not add AI features to Tuta. Yet, this is to show there are better alternatives to Big Tech, in regards to AI, the alternative is not perfect, though, you're absolutely right.
@Tutanota I'm quite certain I'm talking to someone that is intellectual, thoughtful and ethical, and I suspect the pragmatic recommendation of an LLM makes you just as uncomfortable as me. I merely ask you to reconsider as an organisation as to whether you should continue to do that.
