@cwebber what does roasting black beans look like? i never learned to roast flesh before going veggie, so i'm not even confident i understand what that means

@juliana look up recipes for roasting chickpeas, do that, eat them because they're delicious on their own
then try the same thing but with black beans!
(Basically, toss them in oil, salt, spices and roast at 400/425F till crispy)

part of the trick here is you can roast them a little bit drier than you would like to eat them at, since they will rehydrate a bit when cooking. not so dehyrdrated that you can't eat them, just a bit more than you would for snacking
but if you roast them the normal amount, roasted black beans, like roasted chickpeas, are also delicious!
