This year, the UN Security Council will elect a new UN General Secretary, succeeding Antonio Guterres. Of course, that'll be huge. It's interesting to read about the candidates.
I think it's anticipated to be someone from Latin American, since the continents take turns. It doesn't seem to be a written rule. What is a written rule, though, is that the permanent members of the Security Council can veto candidates, which is pretty bad given that the US is one of them.

You can also watch video recordings of interaction with each of the current UN General Secretary candidates here:
https://www.un.org/en/sg-selection-and-appointment
But each candidate has a 3 hour segment, so you have to be pretty well-equipped with time to watch it. I've been watching just the introduction with Rafael Mariano Grossi. But he's very honest about the role of the UN and its challenges.
Some job interview process!

@benjaoming cool!
Haven't watched anything yet, only read their wikipedia pages; and the ones who piqued my interest were Maria Fernanda Espinosa and Michelle Bachelet
