Why did I buy a "The Future is Queer" T-shirt when I'm not #queer? Because this isn't a statement of personal interest or ideology.
It's fact.
See how queer people live now - how safe & healthy & accepted they are, or sadly much more commonly are not? That's how everybody will live in the future if we don't stand by them.
You know the fucking poem.
Also, it pisses me off to no end that marginalized people are made to be canaries in the coalmine for the rest of us. We must do better.
