I read that a lot of fridges in France went rogue and defrosted and spoiled tons of food.

I read that a lot of fridges in France went rogue and defrosted and spoiled tons of food. It's about time we start regulating Danfoss and the refrigerator industry in general or it will be the end of humanity.

@reynir "regulating Danfoss"... there's a good pun buried there!
The Danish news called it a "limited number" of fridge monitors [1] (emailed to have it corrected but alas)... the patriotism is pathetic at best. The scandal was talked about all night yesterday on BBC, so it's pretty wild there's just 1 article on DR.
Danfoss' excuse: they were using an old system. Supermarkets were supposed to throw out functional equipment, make more e-waste and waste money??

@benjaoming haha "limited number"! We live in a discrete world of course it's a limited number!
Danfoss customers will be happy to know they need to buy replacements every few years
