    I would never give my information to an AI startup that promised to predict my age at death.

    I've read the Discworld series, so I'm going to sneak into Death's house and steal a look at my hourglass. Might snoop through a few of the books in the library too. Much more accurate, and it wouldn't violate *my* privacy.

    Who wants me to check their hourglass while I'm in there??

    @MaryAustinBooks

    Not really, but if you can arrange it I WOULD very much like a conversation with Pratchett's Death who is one of the most lovable characters in the whole series. And that's saying something.

        True. I'm teaching Vimes again this semester and I'm absolutely loving it.

        I'm about to dig into the witches series and I'm fairly certain I will leave with Granny Weatherwax as a strong comptetitor for the title when I am done.

          Oh, and Susan Sto-Helit is very much up there as well. And Lady Sibyl and the Agony Aunts.

          Yeah, once you get started.

              @SuneAuken @MaryAustinBooks Wait, you get to TEACH Vimes???

              Damn it, now you're making me rethink my decision not to pursue an English PhD after earning my BA.

                I do.

                It's some of the best fun I have all year. The students pick up something that looks like an airport novel and don't know why we're going there, and then they find out as we move through it. And in the end they end up knowing exactly why.

                Live the dream. I'll gladly supervise a senior PhD on Pratchett.
