Ours is Tuesday, but not nearly so picturesque. It’s an auditory experience. First, loud clanking sounds, down the street, then a squawky “eep, eep, eep”, as the truck runs in reverse. Then the missus announces, “It’s trash day!” It’s totally devoid of beauty and romance.

I crossed quite some fjords in norway. Never seen a norwegian guy yelling at anyone. This rather looks like a comedian roleplaying.

It is on the Applecross peninsula, but the bin lorries avoid the Bealach and use the coast road. -

At least there's a lorry.In rural Ireland I had to bring our waste to the local landfill myself by trailer.
And we didn't live really remote, just 8km from Waterford...
