    @cockneylaurie
    I'm not holding my breath either. The best we can hope for is that the U.K. police kick up a bit of a fuss when they don't receive the unredacted Epstein files.

    It does, however, add to the pressure on Trump and places the administration in a bind. That is, in itself, quite nice.

      Exactly. And the U.K. is just one of many European countries with active investigations into the Epstein files. All of them will be demanding the unredacted versions. And, let's be honest, most of them will be doing it a lot more vocally than the U.K.

          I want these abusers to be brought down by their abuse, but if they fall because of their grifts, I'll take it.

            I do agree, but it's the abuse that matters most. Justice for the victims, harsh enough to make other abusers think twice. Similar abuse will be continuing now. It must be stopped.

              Indeed we have to remember Al Capone was done for tax problems not all the violence - it's what you can get the evidence for.

              And Trump's DOJ is currently stopping a lot of evidence being released. So in the meantime*.

              *If it ever gets released.

                @HeatherMJ @ProjectFearlessness @SuneAuken @cockneylaurie I think he's been arrested for leaking government secrets. But it's a wedge in the door. His properties have been raided. If that uncovers evidence that he travelled abroad for sex with children (which is a crime in the UK), then it's going to make others uncomfortable by association.

                  Hopefully, the police are following all the evidence in the Andrew case. The charge of 'misconduct in public office' is quite broad and covers some sexual crimes like procurement.
                  These investigations have to lead to some justice for the abuse victims, otherwise what are we doing here?

                      If it wasn't so scary it would be deeply interesting. The cover up itself damages the administration grievously, so what's in the files must be worse than the damage done by the cover up.
