I know there's more chance of finding out Santa is real after all, but here's a thought...
How about the UK govt (and the EU for that matter but, you know, Brexit....) lead by fucking example for once and just leave X / Twitter for good. At this stage there are absolutely NO good reasons to stay - there is no upside.
And once they've grown the balls to do that, they can then ban the fuck out of it.
It really isn't that difficult...

@EUCommission
A disappointing response, and that's wording it kindly.Showing once again that there are different rules for the rich, apparently to the extent that you refuse to be harsh to them when they tolerate CSAM on their platform.
Not even finding the backbone to call it what it is.
-
@EUCommission leave X. Period.
-
@EUCommission It is both ironic and shameful that the #EU representatives keep using #X, a social network owned by fascists that call for the abolition of Europe.
Stop feeding plutocrats from the other side of the Atlantic and start taking care of Europe, once for all. If you can't, then have some dignity and leave your seat once for all.@meanmicio @EUCommission exactly my thought

Any EU or member state official that still uses the deepfake porn site formerly known as Twitter is telling the world that they fully support and endorse deepfake and CSAM porn @EUCommission

@EUCommission “spicy”? Jesus Christ lads.
-
@EUCommission non consensual porn and child pornography isn't "spicy mode". Leave the nazi platform and block them in Europe.
If I recall correctly, "spicy mode" is when you fry up a sex offender's genitals with Carolina Reaper peppers and force feed them to him.

@EUCommission So probability of "spicy mode" in private communication tools is enough to push Chat Control, while Twitter is not even considered to be banned for actually running in "spicy mode"?
Wow

Ban (F)elon Musk now

Pedos run the EU confirmed
Like, seriously, stop doing reputational cover for a site that is literally automating the generation of child sexual abuse materials
-
@EUCommission It's well past the time when organisations like the EU should have abandoned X, as well as all other fascist controlled social media. When will you leave X ?
@hembrow @EUCommission Don't just leave X, be very public about it and urge member states to do the same.

@EUCommission Please absolutely DO NOT use X's marketing wording when describing CSAM creation in this context. It doesn't matter at all what "mode" people are using with Grok that's allowing people to create such content, it shouldn't even be theoretically possible at all. Period.
Don't be sitting here watering down this issue for a later review. This is very illegal stuff we're dealing with here not to mention how morally awful it is for an untold number of people out there.

@EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu Elon has made it clear that he will punish users, whom have no control over the output, instead of deleting the CSAM he's harboring in Grok's dataset.
Elon has also made it clear that he will harbor holocaust deniers and neo nazis on his platform.
What more investigation do you need to act on what's happening in plain daylight? -
