@hbons they also just argued for a license change for "open source AI models" (which means open weight models) that will hinder people from suing model providers if they ever used a model. Linux foundation is not an ally.

@tante @hbons "open weight" is itself a propaganda term akin to "open binaries". You don't have the source, you don't know how it was processed, you just have a binary you can download and use. There's nothing open about it.

@hbons on the positive side it's free entertainment. It's like one of those "find all the mistakes" pictures 🤣

@hbons Thanks for adding alt text. Visual descriptions are intended to create equity between people, so avoiding the emotional gatekeeping when possible is appreciated. Uncensored descriptions help your point land in more places.

I *suppose* it could be one of those double-ended Apple Lisa disks, but I don't think Linux was ever ported to them?

@dheadshot @hbons No, no Linux on Apple Lisa. No MMU, IIRC.

So when are you gonna learn to hire human designers?

@dheadshot @hbons No Linux, but Microsoft Xenix (!) and Unisoft System V… but the Twiggy drives in the Lisa 1 were 5.25“ ones, so this is perhaps the long lost 3.5“ Twiggy successor? 😂
