Another interesting old BMW from this year’s Cars on the Common in Harpenden. The low-volume Z1 was launched in 1989 and introduced the ‘Z’ naming convention for BMW convertibles (see Z3, Z4, Z8). Innovations included doors that opened by sinking into the sills, multilink rear suspension and plastic body panels.

@DazzlingDamo @davidwilkins Looks like the answer is no. The first BMW in a Bond film was a Z3 in 1995’s GoldenEye. The Z1 was 1989-91.

A Z3 seems a bit ordinary for James but perhaps that's his idea of low profile
