Not for work, not for a conference, not for a vacation, not for a festival, not for your son's college graduation, not for your daughter's wedding.
It's not worth getting "detained" (getting locked away in a concentration camp).

I am from and live in the United States. I agree with this. It saddens me.
Also any replies saying that the US was always this bad and whatever else will be plonked. I am not interested.

@eestileib @rzeta0 @davidculley noone wants to, but people I that traveled BOTH the #US and #Iran can confirm that the #CPB & #TSA basically wanted to push them into a situation where they could kill them and get away with it, including abuse, despite having visa and documentation in plave.
Whereas Iranian Immigrations and Customs were professional and polite.
Neither the #USA nor Iran are safe, but if #business travelers invited get abused at the former, how do you think they treat #tourists?

@davidculley A recent big Lindy Hop dance convention, that's been held on the East Coast as long as I recall, moved across the border to Canada this year. They attract a lot of excellent dancers from Europe (and other non-US places too) and the problematic state of visas and (gestures wildly) everything in sub-Canada had to have something to do with it.

@davidculley the World Cup attendance suggests that the majority just don't know or don't care, or think they're immune. Australia stages some football matches there now, I'm mystified at their willingness to risk it.
