Every morning, the queen asked her magic mirror to show her the most beautiful person in the world.
The mirror replied "To whom?"
"The miller who made the flour for my bread," the queen would say, or "Whoever spun the thread my shawl was made of".
The mirror would show her, and she'd be amazed.
@MicroSFF Justice for the Queen!!!
(thank you)

@MicroSFF “would *show her*” or “would show *her*”? what’s the intended stress?

@Profpatsch @MicroSFF
I would imagine show to the queen. "The most beautiful person" is non-gendered. Also, the person to whom they are beautiful has no stated gender or sexual identity. -

@MicroSFF This has me desperately curious as to what she saw each time. Family members? Affairs? Idols? Lolcats?

@Profpatsch @SometimesLovely If the queen saw herself every time she wouldn't be amazed.
