    Like so many racists, Musk thinks that using the world 'culture' instead of 'colour' makes him seem less racist.

    Anyone with an iota of knowledge about the UK and Ireland knows that Scottish and Irish cultures are quite distinct from each other.

    So, what he really means is that they're white.

      @Remittancegirl
      The English-Scotts(sic)-Irish origin of the culture of New Mexico, does he mean? Or Louisiana? ...Hawaii, maybe? Alaska? Minnesota? Pennsylvania?

      I hate when these illegal aliens* come here and never even bother to learn about American culture(s).

      *Musk came here on a student visa, which became invalid when he dropped out of university. AFAIK, he has never resolved his illegal status.

        @Remittancegirl

        And which English-Scots-Irish culture is that?

        The one made up of Celtic, Roman, Viking, Saxon and French cultures?

        You only need look at the English language to know it is not some pure monoculture.

        But these people don't deal in facts. they sell a mythology to hide their quest for power.

        @TCatInReality @Remittancegirl
        The 'English' culture they appear to refer to seems to be ancestrally associated with Germanic tribes that were immigrants in the 5c coming across the channel from the continent in small boats.
        No mention ofc of the native Brythonic or Gaelic tribes, the Romans, the Vikings, the Normans...

          @Remittancegirl @TCatInReality To be fair though, culturally hatred, intolerance and inequality were a part of the "HRR" too, but they were religion, gender or class based.

            @TCatInReality @Remittancegirl Seems Elmo has declared "English-Scots-Irish" to be the new "Aryan"...

            Also, I know a few members of all three cultures & I have the distinct impression that they would tell him to stuff this cross-conflation up his ass.
