The fact that Sun Tzu never said "An evil man will burn down his own country to rule over the ashes" doesn't mean the statement isn't true.

It's still a valid question raised by @georgemonbiot.bsky.social, which I don't have an answer for either: Why in the name of unholy fuckballs to people keep voting for someone who wants them enslaved or dead?

@jwcph @georgemonbiot.bsky.social
Belief vs Rational Decision
People act according to what they have been led to believe rather than what they have carefully considered?
One such belief
Bolsonaro is wealthy
Wealth is good
(Bolsonaro is good)Media feeds this belief 24/7

@Deixis9 @georgemonbiot.bsky.social Sure, I get that & I think you're right - but even with the super-biased media landscape we have all over the world, it's not like it isn't noticeable what *actually* happens when these people are in charge.
Like, Americans do realize that eggs & gas suddenly costs 1000 moneys & everybody they know is suddenly underpaid, unemployed, sick & dying.
Historically populations revolt against these guys.
And then they elect the next one anyway
