@MikeElgan just checked, I'm still seeing 'Lake Ontario' on Google maps. (From a European IP address)
@chalkahlom @MikeElgan From a European IP I also see Lake Ontario, but with an U.S IP (via VPN) it is Lake America.

In search google did add '(lake America)' in the text like is is the 'normal local name' for it.
