A Scottish pro-Palestine activist is facing charges for “threatening and abusive behaviour” after reading a poem about children killed by Israel. Ironically one written by Michael Rosen. I wonder whether they will be a seeking a warrant for his arrest as well.
I really thought we were being a little more sensible in Scotland.

@Wen it's an infection. I got into a conversation with three youngsters last week, and the lad told me he "likes some of the things Trump has done" - specifically targeting immigrants for deportation. That surprised me - I thought Scotland was still mainly encouraging people to move here. Funny thing is, his family moved here from England when he was younger.
It made me think... there's a huge propaganda effort to make us blame each other for things that are the direct result of profiteering and paying dividends rather than investing in infrastructure.

@Wen you're right. I also think the youngsters are being seriously let down. I didn't see any sign of hope, no feeling that there's something worth striving for. I don't know what the answer is, but this isn't right.
There's just this vague feeling that "if we could live in Canada, everything would be better". Ironic, isn't it?

@AbramKedge I am hopeful for Scotland, although Independence would help for many reasons, some not always obvious.

Can't help feeling Holyrood not pushing back enough on anti immigration stuff not strong enough on "if you live in Scotland and call it home then you are Scottish, wherever you were born ", now who was it that said that -oh yes Nicola Sturgeon -
