How active is Mastodon for authors and narrators? I'm still trying to get a feel for this space. Aside from #bookstodon and #audiobooks, what are other good hashtags to follow? Does anyone post casting calls here? (I've heard that's a big thing on the bird site, but I'm not going back there.)

There's also a group (!@bookstodon) which you can follow. If you tag the group (remove the ! in front) then that post gets boosted. -

Please boost for reach!Check out the instance I'm on (writing.exchange), we're mostly all writers of one description or several others. Some further hashtags to look at would include 'AmWriting,' 'WritersOfMastodon,' and 'WritingCommunity.'

@cathos @KatDawson_Narrator Also #writers and there are many game/prompt hashtags like #writerscoffeeclub #pennedpossibilities etc where authors gather daily. Then you have #books and also sometimes genre specifi hashtags like #sff
