    @Schabe @EugeneMcParland @wolf

    I mean, does attacking civilians to achieve the military goal of annexation count as terrorism. Both Israel and Russia's militaries have done this.

    More to the original point, Russia's economy is suffering greatly right now because it's neglecting domestic welfare in order to achieve victory in Ukraine. Russians are having difficulty even filling their cars with enough gas to get home from the station. I'd put pretty good odds the Russians who can still afford to travel at all, let alone abroad, are either directly or indirectly complicit.

        Nearly 500,000 russian citizens enjoyed European holidays last year. Meanwhile, Ukrainians were dying on the battlefield.

        It’s time to end Schengen tourist visas for russian tourists. Holidays in the EU are a privilege, not a right for citizens of a country waging war on our continent.

          @EugeneMcParland I don’t know. I’m conflicted. I also want Russians to see Europe, Ukraine included, as vital spaces with vibrant cultures and worth visiting and appreciating it on its own level.

              It's not just "putin's War", it is "russia's War"

              This will leave a stain on russian society and politics that will remain long after putin is gone.

                I don't think that we should generally discriminate all Russian citizens for having the wrong president there are enough Russian,s that suffer themself under Putin.

                Also I dont want to be hold responsible, or personal punished for the German government I didn't vote for.

                @wolf @EugeneMcParland That's exactly how all German civilians were rightfully treated during WWII. Nobody checked Germans' voting records. That's how Russians should be treated now. It's physically painful to me to agree with the EPP on anything (and I know they're doing it because they're not in power in most Russian oligarchs destinations), but it boggles the mind that anyone thinks the vast majority of visa beneficiaries are dissidents, rather than vatniks flying their mistress to Cannes.

                    @EugeneMcParland if russia was a democracy, i would support this sanction (but with exceptions for people with proof they voted against it), but russia is an autocracy, so this is just collective punishment for the actions of putin

                            @EugeneMcParland There are lots of wealthy ruzzians visiting their properties around the Mediterranean. Those are the ones not sent to fight as cannon-fodder, and supporting putin. Stopping them travelling is an obvious action the EU should impose.

                                      Putin's daughter used to live in Amsterdam, that is no longer the case. Amsterdam is however close enough to London and Paris to not be bombed, flattening the Dutch capital would also affect the British and French capitals.

                                        i thought she was a DJ in paris

                                        another daughter maybe?

                                        maybe every european capital should detain someone important enough or related to someone important enough as an insurance policy

                                        (i kid)

                                          I am not an expert on Putin's daughter(s), my assumption is that it is probably the same person who just moved from one place to another.
