@HarriettMB @Geri And the winning formula has been so laughably simple: acknowledge the real problems faced by voters, and provide practical solutions instead of just scapegoating migrants for everything. Given genuine choices, even some of those previously drawn to Reform *will* pick progressive candidates.
There should be lessons here for the current Labour government, but we know by now they're too beholden to right-wing focus groups and corporate interests to ever learn those lessons.

@ApostateEnglishman @HarriettMB @Geri I recall in my youth an oft repeated phrase, do not instruct a fool, as the result will be insults, however, instruct a wise man and he will be yet wiser. Labour stopped being wise many many years ago! The brains were kicked out by the militant & never returned.
