I'm super happy that it's sunny on this work-from-home day for me.

@dillyd We do this here too, usually it’s something that’s been dropped from a push chair.
I am very good at losing one glove. I don’t think I have ever found any of them again.
@dillyd @Broadfork I think Michael Jackson’s other one has been found at Mar a Lago.

@cohanf @Broadfork
The other day while biking, I lost a handkerchief. I didn't even bother looking for it: white handkerchief in white snow. I'll need to start using dark handkerchiefs in the winter. -
@cohanf @dillyd Yes, the former. Here a pushchair, stroller, pram or buggy are all interchangeable terms for equipment to move small children about in.
A wheelchair is for use by anyone with mobility issues.
Here in the UK toys are mostly chucked out of prams by children.
In America it seems it’s mostly done by their richest adults.
I think 'pram' should be generally understood here, though not too often used (could be regional and generational differences) .. buggy is more likely used for other sorts of vehicles etc
lol-- yes, children do love to chuck things from wherever they may be perched-- I think sometimes watching their caretakers play 'fetch' is half the fun..
The dreadful habits of the 1% I won't comment on...lol -
@carolannie we saw a pair of snowpants in the middle of the road once! Maybe related to boots

@dillyd oh interesting

@Broadfork @dillyd lol we'll be waiting..

@Broadfork @dillyd I don't do much walking where there are other people these days, but I've oddly found a few things in the bush here: a couple of golf balls on various occasions! Very odd here, I can't easily imagine any neighbours (only one property near enough) or my relatives (their houses also not near, but some drive through)- golfing! Likeliest is that when my sister was here her kids were playing with them, but they were found outside the yard/garden a decade or two later!

Slightly different category, but depending on what you find, keep in mind #flosstodon and #trashtodon -
On a whim, I walked up a small hillside to see the trees at the top, and look what I found!
#mushtodon #LichenSubscribe@dillyd those are so cute!!

A common sight in Quebec, the fallen glove that has been placed on a fence post in hopes that its owner will find it when they pass by again. A sign of optimism and good will towards strangers.
#MagicInTheMundane@dillyd I love those little signs that we reach out to each other

#MagicInTheMundane@dillyd I can attest I've been a beneficiary and participant of that method.

Slightly different category, but depending on what you find, keep in mind #flosstodon and #trashtodon@dillyd @Broadfork EDIT-oh, actual dental floss? how extraordinarily specific!
what does floss mean in that context? (I'll follow the hashtag to see what's there, but that isn't always explanatory..) -
