It feels like those who are most likely to follow an organization like EFF on X have mostly departed X for other alternatives (be that Fedi, Threads, BSKY or elsewhere). -

When I get an amber or silver alert from my police department on my phone I shouldn't get a pop up that covers the information as soon as the page loads. I shouldn't need an x.com account to read the information in the comments.

@rozeboosje @eff I joined the fediverse because someone I valued very much posted on reddit that he will move here and if people wanted to be informed any further by him, they should follow. So I did. Never had an account on reddit, but for that guy, I was willing to sign up for social media for the first time.
I'm pretty sure your move will have an even larger impact. Thank you guys.
Lead by example, then people will follow.
