how can i just go look at what someone has posted?
when someone boosts a post, where exactly does it go?
what does favoriting even do?
and many other questions which i cannot even formulate yet

Boosts appear in your followers' timelines and also help posts to trend on your server's Trending timeline.
Favouriting lets people know you liked their post.
