    A new Git version just dropped and it comes with a new experimental `history` command!

    `reword` can be used to change commit messages and `split` can untangle a single commit into multiple ones.

    No more interactive rebase. 🎉

      eh why are you linking github blog instead of git changelog? and also why does that blog link to https://lore.kernel.org/git/TODO for git v2.54? <img class=“not-responsive emoji” src=“https://outerheaven.club/emoji/neofox/neofox_googly_woozy_256.png” title=“:neofox_googly_woozy:” />

        @xarvos because that's where I read it. 🤷‍♂️ And I'm also not responsible for the source.

            @xarvos @stefan You mean this changelog? https://gitlab.com/git-scm/git/-/blob/HEAD/Documentation/RelNotes/2.54.0.adoc It doesn't describe or show how to use any of the new features...

              @stefan I've been using 'git commit --amend' for as long as I can remember to get the same functionality as reword. Split functions seems nice though. Thanks!

                @stefan I’m afraid to ask, but why is your shell suggesting the (non-existing, to the best of my knowledge) "git history rewrite" command?

                  @mathieui Because I made a mistake before. 🫣
