Mastodon admins will *never* message you to go click links or other shit like that to fix/save/unblock/verify/etc your account.
Any account with variations on "helper", "notification", "verification", and so on in their name are almost certainly a scam.
Report them.

Any account with variations on "helper", "notification", "verification", and so on in their name are almost certainly a scam.
Report them.

@alice yeah... they tried scamming me one of these days... was kinda funny in which post they tried scamming me, but is worrying they are even trying in the first place
@passocacornio as long as a scammer can fool at least one person then the scam is always worth it no matter what. It’s just a numbers game to them they don’t even look as people as people.
To that one scammer from Jamaica that tried to con my Grandad out of 10k lying to him and saying he won a contest for $1 million and a Mercedes car, but my grand just had to pay 10 K to get it. To that scammer, go fuck yourself with a cactus.

@scottytrees ... a sizable portion of "scammers" are enslaved people, so... meh
and since the person was desperate enough to try to scam me, on a toot of the sysadmin of my instance, worries me .-. ... because of said sizable portion of enslaved people
