    Never thought I'd say this, but it's actually too hot to hike in Scotland just now. We are suffering from the heat. Not complaining but genuinely surprised. #ClimateDiary

      @Ruth_Mottram Just hiked from fort Williams to Inverness in at most 20 degrees, Inverness is also not hot. Now on the way to Isle of Skye, where it's supposed to be 21 tomorrow?

      @philippbirken it is at least 25C on top of this mountain in Glen Coe, and hardly any breeze. Maybe it's just here?

          @Ruth_Mottram seems to be: Portree 21, Inverness 20, Fort William 27 (!) today.

          I have to admit that we climbed Ben Nevis on a sunny day without clouds at 28 degrees last year, and it was a challenge. I was a bit dehydrated when we came down.

          But enjoy the views!!

            @Ruth_Mottram

            I hope you can save your precious landscape, which will change as the climate does that. That’s just the way of nature, but in doing so it will be the very thing that makes your lives better.

            Land uses climate change and the living skin of the planet is what makes the planet habitable space.

              @Ruth_Mottram You know it's bad when you can't even get relief in the mountains.

                @Ruth_Mottram Just got back from Phoenix, AZ where the highs were about 108 F, but humidity is much lower than here in western NC. Stay hydrated where ever you are.

                  @Ruth_Mottram at this rate they'll have to downgrade the wool kilts to grass skirts

                        @Ruth_Mottram That happened to me in Alaska a few years ago, it was fine, but I was confused by it.
