October starts tomorrow and as I had a lot of fun last year taking part in #hARToween I figured I should try another month long daily pixel art creation challenge again.

Day 18 of #cosytober2025: "Tree"
This was inspired by an actual tree standing on the top of the Schauinsland down in the Southern Black Forest. I think it's an old oak and it has this windswept shape that especially during winter with snow around just looks amazing against a blue sky. I tried my best to capture that in 64x64px

The first thing that came to my mind was of course a heart, but I wanted to go with something less generic. Then I thought about animals who mate for life and remembered what I read about swans - so it ended up being a heart after all ^^ I really enjoyed drawing this one!

A bit later than usual today as I got stuck in work, but here's a small hedgehog family taking a stroll under moonlight.
The original plan was to have them take a walk under some bushes, but my attempts on that didn't make me happy, so this version it is which DOES make me happy

I was really looking forward to this prompt as early last week I had the idea to try my hand at a pixelart visual of one of my favourite cosy games, #Dorfromantik. I even did a quick test of the idea (will put that into a reply below) & loved that so much already that I almost couldn't wait for today
Should I ever try my hand at a demake of that game, I now know how it'll look ^^
