@gary_alderson Lots of shenanigans around Archive Dot - hardware is hosted in RU, Roskomnadzor keeps blocking it, and that trickles down to certain ISPs abroad

There are now shops that specialize in drilling out the Meta glasses LED so it still appears functional but provides no warning.

@neurovagrant I agree with your comments, thank you for sharing that article (reader mode in Firefox for Android is great!).
I attended a session at MozFest House a few years ago looking at consequences of tech and how to mitigate it. An example given was a village in where people had to walk for miles to get water. A charity funded a well, but found that it made people unhappy.
The charity had not appreciated that the walk was when the villagers shared news with others that they met.

nah, but there are pretty much continual attempts to brainwash males via sick cultural norms. And those start from well before they can even think critically. It’s massive gaslighting -by patriarchy- that turns what could be decent (if kinda clueless) humans into such entitled jerks, nothing innate.
Still unhealthy as hell, but that at least makes it theoretically fixable. But still not easy because a big part of brainwashing is ...denial.
