In addition to said anti-monopoly cross-pollination, unlike almost everything else guitars & gear has become better at cheaper prices, proving that decent quality doesn't have to be only for the premium audience.
Little wonder if some VC suits have spied this & decided to fuck with it, lest we notice & start asking why other business areas can't do this, too.

@jwcph sure why not. The MBA types have screwed virtually every other industry, so why not guitars as well.

@jwcph guitar gear is also odd. What other industry can you plug something brand new, like a guitar, into an amp made in the 1950s and not only expect it to just work but also to sound really good.
Maybe I’m jaded from the bicycle, car and computer industries?
Maybe there are other examples of where you can plug end user consumer stuff together from decades apart?
