I come home from an amazing trip to an email from VISA, letting me know they're increasing their annual merchant fee from $500 to $950, and there's nothing I can do because they've got a monopoly and I need them to have a business.

Currently it looks like Im earning less on CCBILL than my annual Visa fee to use CCBILL - it's close to Zero, like my annual Ccbill income cancels out the fee.
Sooo I'm earning nothing for the privilege to exist to take payment.

For now I'll do an update for my studio members and then sink myself into the end of the month page crunch.
TL;DR: I have to pay VISA/Mastercard annual fees because I draw erotica, and CCBill take bigger cuts of my income because I'm considered High Risk for... Drawing Erotica.

If Mastercard contact me soon to do the same thing, they will have effectively doubled my fees and I legit will need to make some difficult decisions about my future.

Excuse me borrowing an idea from major corporations and political parties here, but have you considered lying as an option?"Yes I'm an artist but I only paint pretty flowers, colourful butterflies and beautiful landscapes. Definitely nothing that a payment processor would ever object to."

@JenJen Huh. I don’t think it’s ever occurred to me before, but British ‘Hedge Porn’ does sound like a term that could pass beyond these shores and intrigue some kind of, for example, Swedish moss witch character enough to explore foreign lands in search of.

an anonymous person bought one of my originals as a "tip" and is asking me to keep it, because they want to just support what I do and there is no proper paypal tip jar for them to useThank you *so* much - and Im sorry I can't use a regular tip jar! But it was requested that I add a "tip option" to my shop so they can chuck in a bit extra like that.
I'll look into it. I know woocommerce have that plugin, so I'll see if I can enable it safely.

️@JenJen I don't know if this is an option, but if adding a tip jar is an issue how about a page that is a version of "Buy me a coffee" You could have different sizes available.
