@remaster @Teratogenese @Elektrotier Totally ! But they said, it doesn't stay open even if you shout, making it sound like it's all the time, not once in a while as has been my experience - in fact it's so rare that it happens to me that I always notice it because it is surprising.

Only because you said it does not stay open: @Teratogenese @remaster @Elektrotier Unscrew the cap and push to the left or right and exert downward pressure, until the cap is below the hinge, until it clicks.

@mcSlibinas @ahltorp @Elektrotier It’s not good for their reputation. I blame bad design from some manufacturers, but also EU could have forced better designs.

@remaster nice for lefties, but a lot of Europeans hate this kind of caps.
@keesjanb @remaster two points:
1. Yeah, the caps are annoying, because they’re badly engineered. I recently (in Croatia, I think) came across a version that just clicks into place when flipped back, making it 99% less irritating.
2. I’m a whitewater kayaker. I used to see lots of plastic bottle caps polluting the shores of Europe’s most pristine rivers. Now they’re gone.
