A cold but sunny day, so I was able to do another maybe six square metres of driveway-paver rework.

Probably that much again to do tomorrow, and then It'll be flat and smooth enough for the winter's snow shovelling/blowing.

Lots of hands & knees work, but it's simple and satisfying to look at when you've finished. A bit hard on the back though.

I'm tantalizingly close to finishing my rainy-day shed-door making project, but driveway repair work takes precedence while the weather is cooperative.

I had no enthusiasm for kneeling in the driveway juggling pavers today, so I put an hour or so into the shed door build instead.

Made the final cross-bracing and did related gluing + screws, and all that's left now is painting and hanging it.

The hanging will be the biggest challenge. Lots tweaking of the frame and the door likely. Trade offs of gaps vs smooth closure.

Perhaps mid-weeks sometime! Pics when it's done.

I finished the #shed door making, painting and (this afternoon) the hanging on the wonky old shed!

I was expecting a long slog of squaring the frame and then trimming the door before getting in to mortises for the hinges and mounting handle and hasp.

But I was pleasantly surprised that other than some chisel work to square the frame to, the door fit snugly without any trimming.

A little paint touch up work tomorrow and I'm done. I ran out of daylight. Grr, time change!

Must take a pic and share the results.

I levelled up the tilted shed in spring, replaced some rotted foundation beam sections on one side, patched a floor hole, landscaped around it including a sinkhole under the pavers. K painted it up, and then I replaced the door, so it's all ready for winter.

The #shed rehab project is mostly done until next year. A few internal things to do, and some exterior wood pieces to be replaced, but we're mostly stabilized for now.

The sunken foundation, tilt and door are all fixed and a spruce-up on the paint makes it more cheery for winter. Hopefully a bit of fascia paint will get applied before the snow flies.
