So I *think* you can get around the WWII bomb in Hamburg by routing Schleswig - Neumünster - Bad Oldesloe - Hamburg Hbf, and it even does not add *that much* time
Let's consider all of this again tomorrow morning!
@jon Based on what I know about Hamburg trainlines, that seems to be correct.
The train between Neumünster and Bad Oldesloe can get crowded if the track between Neumünster and Hamburg is closed without replacement busses -

So I *think* you can get around the WWII bomb in Hamburg by routing Schleswig - Neumünster - Bad Oldesloe - Hamburg Hbf, and it even does not add *that much* time
Let's consider all of this again tomorrow morning!
And as I approach Stockholm, and my train is using a line also used by the Pendeltåg, have some Markoolio

@jon This is quite common in Germany and routine, unless they encounter any issues with the bomb, the disposal team should be quick in disabling and removing it.

I'm currently reading Ursula LeGuin's 'Earthsea' books, and there are bits where dark forces prevent the wizard from reaching the isle that is his destination! No magic is helping him, so he has to take detours, meets an old friend again, then only after a long route of travels and learning he finally reaches his goal.
Let's see how your trip further develops
(This week already saw train strikes in Italy and the Netherlands and it's only Wednesday

While I'm pretty sure they will defuse the bomb before morning, there will be train fallout from ICEs ending in Hannover or elsewhere.
