There was a recent study where over 90% of job applications were rejected by company LLMs if they were not written by an LLM.

At that level any company with a non-human LLM as the first reviewer is already requiring a resume writing service be used.

Submitted my resume and got told "You're not very popular with our jobs; it may help to say you know Python"

Completely ridiculous! As someone who previously worked in HR, it's pretty standard advice to candidates -- going back decades -- that any agency that expects the candidate to pay is a scam. This is advice that job seekers will receive regularly, and of course it may already be obvious to many of them.

This whole thing sounds like it's bots all the way down, and all the way up.

Content aside, but that mix of “Stanford MBA, Forbes under 30” self-promotion and informal “Hi David” feels nauseating. Maybe it’s an US thing, but it reads like a parody of LinkedIn’s worst excesses and if anyone would ever introduce themselves the only sensible response would seem “Why, thank you, I'd like to awfully, but I'm having labor pains.”
