1. Stop talking about that motherf—er (i.e., Trump).
2. Religion is the root of all evil.
Do those comments elicit meaningful conversation about important issues?
Not from where I stand.
They're conversation-stoppers laden with hostility. And I don't do hostility in conversations here or elsewhere.

If you can only make a start on countering evil when you have defeated religion (or for that matter, taking it from the other side, defeated atheism) you're rejecting so many kind, thoughtful allies that would happily stand with you without asking you to change.
