    Instead, we have all those “log in with {an overlord}” buttons, obviously pushed by the wealthy and powerful tech companies.

      @Anibyl Which are, I should say, often powered by OpenID! Or at least what OpenID turned into when this decentralized, peer technology was only adopted on the identity provider side and not on the accepting side.
