If I'm out cycling, I'll check the map for the nearest café (for example).
If you run a café and it's nearby, but not on the map, my money gets spent elsewhere! -

I suspect many less tech savvy folk misunderstand what OSM actually IS.Open Street Map provides the core map for a bunch of mapping apps. You aren't just putting your business on one mapping app, you're putting it on a bunch at once.

I suspect many less tech savvy folk misunderstand what OSM actually IS.Open Street Map provides the core map for a bunch of mapping apps. You aren't just putting your business on one mapping app, you're putting it on a bunch at once.
More than that. All the big commercial map services suck OSM data into their pipelines, but they leave each other alone. Save time, put it on OSM once.
(It's only stealing when you do it.)
