We have seen over the last weeks and months antisemitic content, non-consensual deepfakes of women, and child sexual abuse material.
In Europe, no company will make money by violating our fundamental rights.
@EUCommission This really does look like a deliberate “we’ll find the edge by hitting it” strategy. It’s very old-school Silicon Valley, almost nostalgic in a bad way. Move fast, ship first, apologize later, let regulators chase you. That approach worked in a world where the worst thing you broke was a photo sharing app or a social graph.

@EUCommission Making companies that breach the DSA pay a little fee, won't work. Companies that continuously and deliberately breach the DSA and don't cooperate with the European authorities must be banned for 1 year at least nad 2 years for the 2nd time. Companies that continue to violate European law should be banned permanently. Just an idea, but you gotta do something. And how about not using X? That would be a really great start!

@EUCommission Ok. BUT leave X now. You already have an own instance and a vicepresident in mastodon @HennaVirkkunen . Just follow the leader. You are working for the enemy everytime you post on X.

@EUCommission I think is a wonderful opportunity for a system to keep reminding you until this is fixed…

@EUCommission ban X from the EU, enforce other social networks. That's the only way to hold them accountable.

@EUCommission Could you clarify what do you mean with "antisemitic content"? Many organizations turning to neo-fascism use that as an umbrella term to censor, for example, the human rights and the self-determination of the Palestinian people.

@EUCommission Interesting. The question of the investigation is raised every day, but it's by no means possible to consider the right answer to the end.
