Choo, choo!

Okay, so not technically a picture from #Bergen, but it is on the Bergen Line, the #railway going between the capital of Norway, and the True Capital of Norway.

Spanning 500 kilometers, the Bergen Line was celebrated for its spectacular scenery (pictured hidden under #snow) and for being a marvel of early‑20th‑century railway engineering, setting the stage for modern rail travel across the country.

Famously it cost around an annual national budget to build, and was opened in 1909. It is still a tourist attraction, as well as an important transportation line between East and West of Norway, over 100 years later.
