Finally took some time to play with #Guitarix and #QJackCtrl to figure out playing through my desktop. Took quite a few browser tabs and pseudo random UI clicks to figure out the connections and then a few more to get the latency down, but unlike in Windows I was finally able to have Youtube and my guitar playing together. Yay noodling!

@baronvonj I installed Audacity with snap install and couldn't get it to play through my interface, because before that I couldn't get it to load audio from MP4 files despite having libavformat.so... had to remove the snap version and install from the package manager...
and it works! And loads MP4s!
NOBODY TOUCH ANYTHING!!!

Don't touch indeed! I can't recall if I'm using a native package or Flatpak for Guitarix, probably native. -
