How about calling the US debt preemptively? An ounce of preemption is worth a ton of intention.

@SharonCrockett Or maybe everything continues as before. I mean just look at the German government: docile and obedient, cuddling Trump and his goons even in the face of military action against Greenland. And the UK is also fine with the Trump stuff, no problem. Heck, they might even get a slice of Greenland for themselves. So who is left to complain? France maybe? Spain? Not Turkey!
I mean I hope you're right.

@SharonCrockett I strongly doubt the last one, at least in my own country (one of the two currently being threatened by the US, actually). There's still the constitution and the ECHR.

@SharonCrockett - and alarmingly, this is the best case scenario. The worst case scenario is that nothing happens & the world just basically closes around the annexation, establishing that the world is now a lawless "rights of the strongest" hellhole until all-out war breaks out...
