      @arstechnica Admittedly I'm not a gamer, but the first ting I would not own after this is a PlayStation.

                @arstechnica I own a PS5 (with disk drive) and multiple games on physical disks. This announcement guarantees I will not buy any future PlayStation consoles. For consumers, discontinuing physical media is all drawback, no benefit.

                      @arstechnica I don't like this at all but we have mostly already passed the point of actually owning fully playable games on physical media. Sure, you can resell the discs but most games are released so unfinished that you need access to day one updates to make them playable.
