@Migueldeicaza #alt4you Photograph from down a tall, multistory city street of the same titanic Catrina, distance slightly exaggerated by the haze of midday, against a blue sky with clouds. The photography winks a bit at Godzilla in how she seems to emerge from behind one block of buildings as if striding across the city, but she grins sunnily with her wrists at her hips and elbows out.

@RnDanger @Migueldeicaza You have a point, but it looks like it's real: https://www.popsci.com/technology/worlds-largest-day-of-the-dead-sculpture-mexico/
@Tejuino @RnDanger @Migueldeicaza “The new Guinness World Record holder is as tall as six stacked giraffes.”
Everything, but not the metric system, right?

@Migueldeicaza absolutely amazing!!!

@RnDanger Your scepticism is completely normal, Mexico is pretty surprising! In social media we Mexicans often say "Mexico outdoes AI again" and post weird but real pictures. I can vouch for the giant Catrina, it is in the Zócalo right now. I live like 3km from it (i.e., pretty close by Mexico City standards). @Migueldeicaza
@oantolin
I believe the thing exists now, and it is amazing - but i still think this photo looks fake. Maybe it's just touched up a little too hard

@Migueldeicaza@RnDanger oh, I guess that could easily be true. I've never been great at being able to tell and I've gotten much worse since I switched all my social media usage to an eInk Android phone.

@Migueldeicaza@RnDanger @oantolin @Migueldeicaza do you have any specific pointers? This photo looks very real to me, but I've been fooled before and sometimes it takes someone else telling me where to look for the inconsistencies

@benroyce @passwordsarehard4 @miguelpergamon @Migueldeicaza Sorry, too busy finalizing my pitch to Hasbro and Microsoft to make Fallout: Equestria canon for G7 to prepare young girls to get excited about STEM education and working for their machine overlords.

@raphaelmorgan The lighting looks strange. But I suspect there are some big spot lights out of screen that are lighting it up.

@Migueldeicaza Where do you even order a dress in that size?

@Migueldeicaza We were there last weekend for the "little" Caterina parade and it was pretty chaotic. The structure for this one was being erected at the time - truly epic.
Mexico City was pretty amazing !
