@mttaggart I really hate the feeling of wondering. It feels almost paranoid; I don't think it's positive to be constantly suspicious of every piece of writing I read, but I keep reading these little quirks that make me wonder.

@mttaggart Well, since this is objective reality at the moment I think the answer is “we deal with it.” For me personally, it means I’ve basically stopped reading anything on the internet. Fedi still seems mostly real so that’s nice. And I still read blogs from before the dark times by people I know actually write. It’s going to get harder to tell signal from noise, but I think we will develop techniques to identify real voices. Hopefully this doesn’t last forever.

In academia, it's academics using LLMs to summarize papers or reports produced with LLMs ... which makes me wonder if it wouldn't be more efficient to just publish the prompts instead because they contain all the novel information.Otherwise it's just machines keeping humans occupied.... we don't need superhuman artificial intelligence to enslave humankind. Just LLMs, engagement metrics and optimisation.
