Just witnessed a man getting severely beat up from my apartment window. It has been a while since I've had stabbings, shootings and the like in my street. I liked the pause. Now some of the out-of-control youngsters are at it again. And I think about a sentence I heard earlier today: Shared sadism reduces anxiety and guilt. It's the mob mind. They beat him up together. And I heard them laughing and hooing on the way back (a bit anxiously, I think, but you might as well call it excitement).

@Lasse Yes, I know I see a bit more than most people because I live here. I try to turn these episodes into learnings too. I think we really need to understand that 'shared sadism'. How it works, why the human mind can be pulled to it.
