@JKrotkov @CdnCurmudgeon Why not? Look around you, friend. All we see EACH and EVERY fucking day is people standing around BITCHING. Not DOING. Everyone complains. But only a few look for actionable solutions. That dynamic needs to shift if we don't always want to be stuck furiously duct tape patching an entropy engine exquisitely confabulated to tear itself to pieces every day. Civilization is getting too complex & damage potential too broad to keep trusting our luck like this.

@CdnCurmudgeon Okay, so in this scenario, we off Musk, and the poorest billion people get two shares each of Tesla, the cesspool formerly known as Twitter, and SpaceX. What are they supposed to do with them?
Trade, sell or toss in that drawer with the push pins, paperclips, possibly working pens and "maybe still good" batteries.

@CdnCurmudgeon I think taking all their money and distribute it to the poorest (in a way they would get among the poorest) is probably a good enough punishment. They would also be motivated to increase the “poorest” level in case they would end up there.
I like this. More humane. But any criminal aspects should be addressed first. Should the rich person be grouped with the innocent poor, as an equal?

@JKrotkov @CdnCurmudgeon *heh* No way i'd make it pass a mudslinger. Other candidates will weaponize my professional background & 20 years extranational against me.
My current focus is entirely dedicated to democratic survival. This administration has shown EVERY intent & sign to upend our 250 year experiment in a bid for absolute power. Without a system where change is possible nearly every other concern & effort becomes secondary. Towards that end i've got a plan to checkmate him at midterms. -

...So perhaps more cautionary tale than prospective template. Besides, this is America. Our cultural tradition is a lot more immediately available. Nobody is ever that far from a tall tree & a short rope.
