You are absolutely NOT here to police me, or others, for any decisions we may or may not make, no matter how painfully or not, in our day to day lives including looking after our disabilities. Nobody appointed You to be the Vegan Police, so for fucks sake DESIST and rather than slagging us off and calling us dramatic if you absolutely must reply as reply guys, do so constructively and point us to places that may actually cater for our needs!?

My feet are relatively tough though not as tough as they were pre HRT. And knowing the damage done on a 100Km hike I truly dread to think what would have happened in vegan boots

Exactly this! I go by their definition as well and good grief you should have seen the pile in by vegan police in FB over it! The whole point of veganism is to do absolutely everything we can to reduce animal suffering, including that of human animals!

If we were to cut out ALL animal products overnight, the world would be a mess. And veggies? The amount of animals killed in even organic farming is horrific, and I know this from working between exams and vacations on a fruit farm.

And my hiking boots? Leather, because anything else would be horrifically bad for my feet ‍️ and as such I cherish them because I understand the full cost, beyond money.

We do what we can, and for my part, enjoy it when non veggie/vegans don't believe me when I tell them that, if we arr having a discussion about veganism they are safe as omnis around me as the self appointed Vegan Police won't attack them, they will attack me!

For me, yes it does. However for the Vegan Police, this makes me worse than a full fledged carnivore

I am mostly vegan, and only eat foods with milk protein when I cannot get vegan equivalent, or when there otherwise isn't any choice but vegetarian.

Basically, vegan at home and veggie when out and there aren't any vegan options.
