I think it's wrong when pretty much anyone includes human flesh in their diet. I'm willing to make an exception for extreme situations that do not involve murder, such as extreme survival situations where people died of other causes and the cannibalism in question was the only alternative to starvation.

That's painting with a pretty broad brush. I certainly am an omnivore, and I don't see any fundamental ethical problem with that, but plenty of people disagree; some of them capitalists, some communists, some supporters of democracy, etc.

After all, the pursuit of one of these systems has led to cannibalism multiple times throughout history.

Communists and socialists LOVE to make big promises like this. But historically, they have delivered pain, suffering, starvation, murder, cannibalism, and just general decay.
