@mbpaz Yes it does but the hole that I made is 0.5mm so a brief tap with the tip seals it better than any glue I can imagine. Most likely these compasses won't survive for another repair since most other moving parts are screaming to be retired

#mountaineering club was about to discard these due to liquid loss inside the chamber. Some drilling and and ethanol donation later bubbles are gone and holes are sealed with soldering iron. Probably this transplant will last these cheap #compass' remaining life
